"After The Final Debate: Tipping Back Toward Gore"
October 18, 2000

Too bad. The final debate still didn't do anything for me. Bush seemed completely out of it. He scares me. I truly think he was "on" something.

I don't think the debates were at all successful. If anything, I think they brought out the worst in both candidates Gore had one or two shining moments last night when he actually spoke of a plan, and how he intended to carry it out.

But I don't think the debates were at all successful. If anything, I think they brought out the worst in both candidates.

This election is really a downer. I'm not wild about either candidate, but, in view of the fact that I am pretty content with things the way they are right now, I guess that would behoove me to stay with the people closest to the fire (The Democrats).

Anyway, I would be amazed if anything happened between now and election day that would help me be absolutely certain about who the "right" candidate is.

We are still reeling over the loss of our dear Governor Carnahan and his son and Chief of Staff. What a loss.
