"Down the Stretch: Preparing to do [her] Republican family proud."
October 31, 2000

Well, the World Series is over and now I can get back to concentrating on the election. I am beginning to wonder what is ever going to help me make a final decision.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been becoming more and more confused. I was hoping that picture would become increasingly clearer. Instead, it's gone just the opposite direction...Now the mud slinging begins.

I think if this race had been between Lieberman and Cheney, I would have already decided. And, I may actually have to base my Presidential vote on that alone. I truly appreciate the ideas and platforms that the Democrats have, but if it came down to one of these two men to "take the bull by the horns" I would sleep easier knowing that Cheney was at the helm. What a pathetic way to vote on the next President of the United States.

I have to keep reminding myself that I am not evaluating the candidate as a potential husband, but really, isn't that sort of what he will be to Lady Liberty?

Well, I guess I will do my Republican family proud. As of right now, my head tells me to vote for Gore, but my gut says Bush.

Maybe I better think about it one more week.....
