The speech was given at the Goldsmith Awards ceremony this week, where Fanning was honored with the 2010 Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism. FRONTLINE's investigative collaboration with ProPublica and The Times Picayune -- Law & Disorder --was also recognized as a finalist for the Goldsmith Investigative Reporting Prize.
