Co-author of The Wrong Guys, a book on the Norfolk Four, Leo is an associate professor of law at the University of San Francisco and an expert on the subject of false confessions.

Co-author of A Criminal Injustice, a book on the 1988 Marty Tankleff false confession case, Salpeter is a former NYPD detective, who has since worked as a private investigator.

He is the court-appointed attorney for Danial Williams, the first man to be charged with the rape and murder of Michelle Moore-Bosko.

A veteran Navy lawyer, he represented Joe Dick Jr., one of the Norfolk Four.
