The Center for Education Reform, a self-described "results-oriented advocacy
group, which is independent, non-partisan and not-for-profit," has produced the
latest in its series of evaluations for charter school laws around the nation.
The resulting "report cards"--on which Arizona gets an "A" and Mississippi gets
an "F", for example--are based on as objective a set of measures as is
possible, CER claims, while still recognizing that "beauty can still be in the
eye of the beholder."
Education Week's state-by-state guide to education reform, listing of key
players, key statistics, legislative updates, and past stories from their
archive.
