Dear FRONTLINE,

It's a shame that the Bush administration did not more closely look at the precedent set by U. S. planners and forces following the end of conflict in Germany and the subsequent occupation in 1945.

I think much of the ineptitude of the current situation in Iraq would have been avoided with a well thought out civil affairs, judicial and economic framework in place prior to the invasion. God knows, the U. S. had ten years to put one together.
