Dear FRONTLINE,
The so-called justice system is turning into a nightmare of injustice! Thanks so much for putting together this program -- we need many more like it to expose the flagrant corruption and inhumanity of the "war on drugs."

Dear FRONTLINE, Even if only half of this is true; something has to be done. Especially telling is the statistic showing that only 11% of the "biggies" are arrested/go to trial. Is any federal legislator aware and/or trying to amend this legislation?

Dear FRONTLINE, Kudos to Ms. Bikel and the Frontline team for a most informative and compelling documentary. It is high time (excuse the pun) for some major changes in both the drug crime sentencing laws and the drug war in general. Thank you all for your great work. E-mails to my congresional representatives are next!

Dear FRONTLINE, I feel sick and ashamed. I knew that the federal government was getting out of control, but not this bad. Now I know why militia groups are popping up all over the country. The Bill of Rights is dead.

Dear FRONTLINE, I was shaken by what I saw tonight on Frontline; It is one of the most horrifying shows that I've ever seen. The subtext, which was not appropriately dealt with in the show was the role that race plays in many of these cases; the residents of Uniontown; Mobile; etc., all African-Americans; while the show did highlight some whites who have also been ensnared by the madness of the federal sentencing minimums, as I watched the show and saw what happened to Charles Aaron, I wept along with his mother; the elderly mother, and the woman who guilty of poor judgment in male friends, didn't seem to be someone who should be sitting in jail for twenty years. This is so frightening. I'm amazed that prosecutor's don't see past the self-serving statements of those whose testimony they so rely upon to destroy the lives of others. One wonders how these attorneys sleep at night.

Dear FRONTLINE, It is outragous! Judges and juries have lost the power over sentences. If I was on the jury and knew I was sending a 23 year old student to a life sentence I would have voted not guilty just to save him from jail even if he was.

Dear FRONTLINE, Congratulations. As an attorney, I applaud your conscientous effort to expose this insidious and pernicious threat to our liberty as citizens of the greatest free nation on earth.

Dear FRONTLINE, This program has been heartbreaking to watch. The use of snitches in this manner is clearly unsupportable. Truly, the cases presented were travesties and the callousness of the prosecutors was nauseating.

Dear FRONTLINE, This was frightening--the USA is not the land of the free--even the most innocent of us should be in fear of an ego-driven politician or prosecutor snatching away our freedom just to further a political career...our lives or the quality of life in the USA is not a motivator for these prosecutors/politicians. Ego and power-tripping is ALL there is to them. They have no conscious nor heart--THEY are the danger to our society. As frightening as our crime problem is in this country, I am more horrified at the thought of having my life snatched away by our corrupt legal system. And I would be only one of many innocent victims whose lives were ruined or taken unjustly by this country. A-men.

Dear FRONTLINE, "Snitch" has made me sick to my stomach. I cannot believe the injustice the American Congress has imposed on the citizens it is elected to represent. Perhaps someone should snitch on Orin Hatch. I applaud the producers of "Snitch" and PBS for exposing the good guys as the true criminals in this story.

Dear FRONTLINE, This is a perfect example of what happens when a police state is created. This type of fanatical "law" driven society is no different from what occurred in the Soviet Union. Unless those who make our laws and "police", are above reproach we are headed for a dangerous society. Our founding fathers set up a system to prevent this abuse. In their attempt to be politically appealing" our congress has created a greater injustice. We have given them permission to create a dangerous society. Not one from drugs, but living under a legal system that extorts.

Dear FRONTLINE, I was a Federal Prosecutor for 11 years. Let's talk about the usual case...not the sensationalism you portray. Most of the time, we used informants to get to the higher ups. We arrested the lowest rung on the ladder and worked up to the highest we could get. The only way to get to the big dealers is to give lower involved dealers a break to get their help and testimony. Just like your program on legalization of drugs, this is SO one-sided in favor of the criminal. Drug dealers deserve plenty of jail time. As far as I am concerned , they can't get enough!
