 
This excerpt from "An Ordinary Crime" examines Keith Riddick's plea bargain
with District Attorney Tom Lock in which he agreed to testify against Terence
Garner in Garner's trial (even though he knew Garner was not involved in the
crime and had told his lawyer so).
According to Riddick, the prosecutors structured a deal in which they knew
Riddick was lying when he denied he had a cousin--a cousin who likely was the
real shooter in the armed robbery and whose name was also "Terrance."
