Despite a "no wives, no cameras" policy among some aviators at the conventions, the DOD investigation obtained more than 800 snapshots, taken mostly by civilian attendees. Since many of the photographs depicted lewd behavior and nudity, only a small number were published in the DOD report as evidence of the kinds of activities which occurred.
