the threat: map

China and Russia are the only countries known to possess intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) capable of reaching the United States. Yet U.S. intelligence sees a spectrum of emerging missile threats in the near and long-term future.

This map offers an overview of the major missile powers and the countries suspected of developing long-range ballistic missiles. Each country's profile also includes information about its nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare capabilities.
