THE SEVEN DEFENDANTS IN THE LITTLE RASCALS DAY CARE CASE

Darlene Harris Darlene was not employed by Little Rascals; she worked at a nearby Head Start center. She became involved with the case after a jealous ex-husband, a police officer, accused her of child abuse of their son and won custody of the child. According to the prosecution, the children were shown her photograph by the police and identified it during the investigation; one of the charges brought against her was photographing the abuse while it was going on.

In January, 1990, Harris was arrested on multiple counts of abuse and assigned a $350,000 bail, which she managed to meet. As with Scott Privott, Darlene claims never to have been in Little Rascals.

In December of 1996, all charges against Darlene were dropped by the prosecution.
