THE SEVEN DEFENDANTS IN THE LITTLE RASCALS DAY CARE CASE

Robin Byrum She moved to Edenton when she was 11 with her mother, Lou Boles, who adopted her as an infant. Robin's first job after high school was taking care of the two and three year-olds at Little Rascals. She was pregnant with her first child during the period when the alleged abuse occurred.

Robin was 19 when she was arrested in January of 1990 , and spent almost a year in jail, leaving her 7 month-old baby, Anthony, with her husband, Kevin, also 19. Her bond had been set at half a million dollars. Robin was released in December 1990, when her bond was reduced to $200,000. Charges against her were dropped six years later, on December 16, 1996, after Bob and Dawn's convictions were overturned. Robin currently lives in Spring Hope, NC- about 100 miles from Edenton- with her husband and two children, Anthony, 8, and Austin Tyler, one year-old. She is a medical transcriptionist, and works at home. Her husband Kevin is a mechanic. They bought their first home in June of 1995. Robin is now 26.
