 George Annas is a bioethicist and Chair of the Health Law Department at Boston
University School of Public Health. He is concerned about the lack of
standards and regulation in reproductive medicine and believes the best
interest of the child is sometimes forgotten in the race to achieve high-tech
pregnancies.
 Dr. Samuel Wood is Medical Director at the Reproductive Sciences Medical Center
in La Jolla, California. His clinic is researching a number of cutting-edge
infertility treatments.
 Dr. Mark Sauer is an infertility specialist and Chief of the Division of
Reproductive Endocrinology at Columbia University. He pioneered methods for
achieving pregnancy in women in their 40s and 50s using donor eggs from
younger women.
 Nigel Cameron, Ph.D., trained as a minister and now teaches bioethics at
Trinity International University where he is Senior Vice President for
University Affairs. He is concerned that modern reproductive techniques
compromise the dignity of the child and the human being. He has testified
before Congress in favor of a ban on human cloning.
 Dr. Michael Katz is Chief of Perinatal Services at California Pacific
Medical Center in San Francisco. He has extensive experience with high-risk
pregnancy, and manages a large number of multiple births--which he feels present
an enormous social and financial burden to society.
 Lee Silver, Ph.D., is a Professor of Genetics at Princeton University where
his laboratory is attempting to identify genes that influence personality and
behavior. He discusses the coming breakthrough in genetically enhancing
embryos. He offers a moderate view on the issue of producing human clones,
which he believes will happen in within the next decade.
 Dr. Jamie Grifo is Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at
New York University Medical Center. He is working on a revolutionary new
technique that could someday rejeuvenate an older woman's eggs.
