Dear FRONTLINE,
As a former narcotics prosecutor, I have seen the effects of the drug on so many families. I have no sympathy, and the program should have shown the damage done to lives due to DRUG USE!

Dear FRONTLINE,
The huge costs of the prison and provention program must be making a lot of people extremly wealthy. The social costs are still the most staggering when you look at it in terms of the lives of the young people lost in the prison system.

Dear FRONTLINE,
While I don't agree with most of the people
in the show saying that smoking pot is ok,
I don't think that they are for the most part
"hardened criminals".
If a person is growing it for sale or actively selling it should have a harsher penalty.
Medical doctors should be involved with the process of using pot for medical reasons.
The simple use of pot should not require a person to spend more time than a person who commits a violent crime.

Dear FRONTLINE,
As a user of Marijuana I commmend your show......I feel the laws should be soften....or done away with ......However this should not condone the use of this drug by minors......or distribution of the drug to minors......It really is the time to rethink about the laws and perhaps the usages of Marijuana......

Dear FRONTLINE,
Pot in my opinion is a harmful drug. Ive been smoking pot for over 30 years and if any thing it helps me with a bad back and hypertension....Pot is more helpful than its
minus's, the minus's which are few. The current laws are completly unfair...

Dear FRONTLINE,
I belive that marijuana should be legal. Tobacco and alcohol are known to cause health problems and both are addictive to some people. Yet both alcohol and tobacco are legal. It should be the decision of people on how and what they use as long as one is harmed. People should use there own judgement on how they should use drug.

Dear FRONTLINE,
Dear Frontline,
I can't believe the amount of money
the government spends trying to curb
the growing/use of marijuana! Why not
legalize it, regulate it and tax it,
AND make it work FOR the government.
I'm waiting for the plant to become
legal for personal growth and use. I
have Multiple Sclerosis and would much
rather use marijuana steeped in a tea
at bedtime for spasms, than take the two
drugs I take now, that can affect my liver
adversely.
When will the government wake up, and
make the punishment fit the crime?
Murderer's getting a few years, and
marijuana growers getting life?
Where the justice?????
