A few months after the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in East Africa, FRONTLINE went to Arlington, Texas to talk with members of its Muslim-American community about the arrest of one of their members, Wadih El Hage, who was since convicted for his role in those bombings. Bernard Lewis, a well-known scholar of Islamic civilization, has a collection of his illuminating articles published in The New York Review of Books.. A good article to start with is Lewis's January 1988 essay, "Islamic Revolution."
