Avrom and Bubbe / October 19, 2009 8:54 AMThank you for sending the clip. It brings Bubbe a little closer to all of us.
Cooki Maisel / October 29, 2009 6:04 AMMy mother is also 83 and she won't go near e-mail or computers, but now that she's living with my brother and sister-in-law in Cleveland, I can e-mail her lots of pictures of the grandchildren and the kids send her their websites, so she can watch the Israeli contingent of the family grow.
I am a grandmother myself, but watching Bubbe cook brings back memories of my mother's and grandmother's kitchens and I see how alike our cooking skills are.
Keep up the good work Avrom, Bubbe and Zeide too.
All the best,
Cooki Maisel

Bubbe you are an extraordinary woman may you live till 120 and ''shep nachas'' from your family
Greta Polonsky / October 29, 2009 6:15 AMI love Bubbe!! She reminds me of my Nonna. The world needs more people like Bubbe and Avrom! The internet brings them into my home, but they've found their way into my heart with their wonderful personalities. MORE recipes, Bubbe! Great work, Avrom!! Say hi to Zeide! Thanks for all the smiles you've brought to me!

Marie Hahn / October 29, 2009 7:02 AMBubbe, thank you for bringing me such joy! I feel
Dana Sheriden / October 29, 2009 7:48 AMlike I have stepped back in my childhood and I am
in the kitchen with my beloved Mother, my loving
Aunt's Fannie, Ida, Minnie, etc. The memories
keep coming, and the food is such a reminder of
all of their kitchens. They were all such great
cooks, no receipts, just a pinch of this, and a
little of this.
Keep the ovens going and the stovetop on! I can't wait to see whats next.
I would love to share some of my mother's special
dishes with you.
May you and Avrom have much success with your
projects. Take care, both of you, stay well and
keep busy in the kitchen for a long time, the
show is wonderful.
Very Fondly,
Dana Sheriden
I am so happy for you. Thank you for sharing yourselves with us and all those great recipes!!
Regina Wilson / October 29, 2009 7:49 AMBubbe really does fill a void. I never knew either of my grandmothers as they were both dead long before I came along. I have been privileged to share just the tiniest part of her life through 'Feed Me Bubbe' and hope she continues to cook for us for many, many healthy years to come. Without the 'net, I most certainly would never have had the chance to know her and Avrom - and that's really what it's all about. The 'net has its 'cons', but having the opportunity to share cultures with people like Avrom and Bubbe is golden. In a sea of digital flotsam and jetsam, 'Feed Me Bubbe' is a rare gem. Mazltov, Bubbe and Avrom!
Jenny Dahl / October 29, 2009 7:50 AMBubbe
Karen Bears / October 29, 2009 8:26 AMI only knew my grandmother for a very short time in my life. I know that I must do this for my new grandchild.I enjoy watching you all the time and have been since the beginning on youtube. Keep going strong and cook always. You inspire me to cook and enjoy life, and to share that love of cooking and love of life with others.
Shalom (I hope I am using that correctly)
We love to not only watch Bubbe's videos, but to learn from them as well. When we're really lucky, we're at our own Bubby's house (we spell it with a 'y'), kneading challah dough and learning to simmer and make things delicious. But when we can't be with her, Avrom's Bubbe keeps us connected to the recipes that have been handed down for generations.
Raffi / October 29, 2009 9:26 AMMy mom had her Temple's Sisterhood Cookbook, my daughters have internet and recipes from Bubbe!
I found Bubbe early on, and I have to say that I have warm feelings for her and Avrom. I haven't had a Grandmother for over 30 years and had only one all my life. Bubbe is so authentic, kind and generous with her wisdom. I loved the video. I'll watch for the show on my local PBS station this winter. I think you did a good job with the accompanying music and video of how Bubbe lives. I had to chuckle when I saw the plastic covered chair. I also like her Yiddish word of the day. Always enjoy learning. The recipes are wonderful and I have saved many. So, keep up with tecchnology, Bubbe. It will keep your brain running smooth. I hope I'm as wise as you by the time I am 83. Love and Light to you and Avrom.
Beverly Ponczek / October 29, 2009 10:56 AMBubbe,
JoAnn Faytik / October 29, 2009 11:04 AMI know I am repeating what sooo many others are saying, but this wonderful program takes me right back to my dear grandmother's kitchen. My six brothers and sisters spent so much time there. I think in this fast paced world of ours we get so caught up in it that watching Bubbe slows things down a bit and puts a warmth in our hearts and reminds us of our own families happy times together. Bubbe is so precious to so many. I don't think she even realizes how much she is loved. I just want to give her a hug and thank her for being here for us. God bless you and your grandson may you have many more years together. JoAnn
I absolutely love Bubbe!!!! My dear friend Samantha Tetro owner of "Samantha's lil' bit of heaven" told me all about this website and ever since then I have been hooked. This clip was fantastic and I appreciate it so much that you forwarded it to me. When I watch Bubbe I can't help but smile. She's the best!
Nellie Vachier / October 29, 2009 11:10 AMI love watching your video's. It reminds me of old times when I was in the kitchen with my mom and aunts, making dinners for the Holidays. Now I do the same for my children and grandchildren. I love your recipes and hope you continue them for a long time to come. I wish I was joining you in your kitchen, helping you to cook and enjoying the food that you prepare. Here's hoping for continued success. Arleen
Arleen Grodner / October 29, 2009 11:23 AMI love your show I've been watching it for a long time. I wish you all the success and happiness headed your way.

Your website and podcast has brought such joy to my life. Thanks to the world of "technology" My 93 year old mother passed away 4 months ago, watching and hearing Bubbe and sharing her wisdom and recipes brings my Mom back into my kitchen....Thank You!!
Jody / October 29, 2009 3:47 PMI enjoy watching your cooking show and have learned alot. I miss my granny's and graddaddy's cooking. Thanks for sharing with us!!! :) :) :)
Your website is superb! My Mom, thank God, is around and cooks a lot of the dishes you show! My bubbes, have both passed, and a number of your recipes remind me of being in their kitchens many years ago watching them prepare this delicious food!
I wish you joy and success in your coming adventures, and I expect your show on the FOOD NETWORK soon!

William S. Safer / October 29, 2009 4:03 PMI love Bubbe! I've been following Feed Me Bubbe for the past couple years and each episode gives me that warm home feeling. I know if I'm every feeling crummy, I can turn Bubbe on and I'll instantly feel a little better! The recipies are also great and there's no doubt I'll be hungry after watching! Thanks Bubbe!
Shai / October 29, 2009 6:45 PMOh I just love Bubbe, her recipes and her cooking! I enjoyed the video and will forward to seeing more of them in the future. I had to laugh when Bubbe offered her guests tuna as my little Aunt Sue always offered me tuna when I used to visit her.
L'chaim, Bubbe! Thank you for all you've taught me (and your cheese blintzes are the best!)
Anne S. / October 29, 2009 8:12 PMPBS, thank you for the clip of Bubbe and Avrom. I have been going through withdrawal during their hiatus from the Internet.
My father, 88, does much of the cooking in our house and has picked up many tips on technique from the "Feed Me Bubbe" podcasts.
When he isn't cooking, he is researching technology, finance and generally surfing on the Internet. I don't want to think how different life would be without the easy access to the world.
Welcome back Bubbe and Avrom. More recipes please.
Judy T. / October 30, 2009 10:28 AMMore recipes are on the way!
Avrom and Bubbe / October 30, 2009 4:05 PMBUBBE THANK THANK YOU, AND THANK YOUR GRANDSON FOR COMING UP WITH THIS FORMAT OF JEWISH COOKING. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOU AND TRYING OUT YOUR RECIPES. I LOVE WHAT YOU CAN DO IN YOUR KITCHEN. NOTHING FANCY, JUST THE IMPORTANT THINGS, A STOVE FRIDGE, WHEN I LISTEN TO YOU IT BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF MY BUBBE WITH THE SAME TYPE OF KITCHEN, AND BOY CAN SHE COOK UP A STORM. PLEASE KEEP UP THE WONDERFUL WORK YOU DO....

Carol / October 31, 2009 1:37 PMI love this series and can't wait to see this on Frontline! I have been showing your internet videos to my 3 young children over the past 2 years, hoping to give them a flavor of what it would have been like if my mother were still here. The expressions, descriptions and recipes are all so familiar - it's wonderful!

It's a cooking show that I can actually relate to - she cooks the same dishes that my mom and bubbie make and it's great to compare techniques!

Dasha18 / November 1, 2009 11:20 PMIt's wonderful that Bubbe is out there on the web. Even I'm not as technologically advanced as she is and I'm a half century younger! Bubbe, may you live until 120 and may you be on the web for eternity! Keep up the great work Bubbe and Avrom!
michelle / November 2, 2009 9:07 AMHaving a Bubbie is the most wonderful thing on earth! Although my Bubbie was NOT a great cook my son Mordechai, said Mom I learned how to cook from the best (meaning me). The old favorites are just super and our Shabbos table is always filled with traditional Jewish recipes.
May Hashem grant you more opportunities to rekindle the flame of Yiddishkeit that is missing among our people. Wishing you lots of hatzlacha as you continue to keep the traditions alive with your special flavor of ruchnius! Mazel tov!

That's quite a "Bubbe." The video is wonderful and shows a lot of promise! Connected me to my own Bubbe, and brought together the best sides of the intergenerational talents in the family. Way to go Avrom and Bubbe, keep on cooking! Can't wait to make Jamme Jellies:)
Yaacova / November 9, 2009 7:17 PMTHE VIDEO REMINDED ME OF THE GREAT MEALS PREPARED BY MY BUBBA WHEN I WAS A CHILD. THE AROMAS, TASTES AND DISHES WERE FABUMONDO....AS ARE THESE MEALS I'M DROOLING OVER NOW. THANKS FOR THE FOND MEMORIES!
