Anonymous / September 20, 2009 2:59 AMMusic was the new silence back when I was growing up in the late 70's, too.

Anonymous / November 10, 2009 2:49 PMAs an educator, i find it challenging when my students come into class with the i-pod in their ear, only half listening to a person who could potentially teach them something that might aide them in the future. If they want to spend the day listening to music in a removed and introverted way, then why don't they stay home. I know it sounds harsh, but i fear for their lack of social skills, inability to verbally communicate and to meet general expectations.
