A few points.
People don't cheat! Mainly because we changed the definition of cheating.
If it is easy, then what learning has occurred?
These days a student can cut & paste without ever reading or checking the information or content they are working with.
Also with the media overloading that occurs everyday, student do not want to be bombarded with more.
